Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between coaching and counseling?
Coaching is future-focused and is about clarity, growth, and practical steps. Counseling goes deeper into processing past pain, trauma, and mental health concerns. Right now, I offer coaching sessions to help women of faith heal from church hurt and find new ways to rebuild their spiritual walk. Beginning in 2027, I’ll also offer licensed counseling.
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
If you feel stuck, unsure how to move forward, or simply need a safe space to untangle what you’ve experienced in your faith community, coaching is for you. Coaching doesn’t diagnose or treat mental illness, but it does give you tools, perspective, and a path forward.
What if I’m not sure where to start?
That’s exactly what the Clarity Session is for. It’s a one-time session where we talk through your story, name what you’re experiencing, and identify your next step, whether that’s more coaching, preparing for counseling, or something else entirely.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes! All sessions are currently offered virtually, so you can connect from anywhere. In 2027, I’ll also open in-person sessions locally while continuing to offer online support.
What if I’m nervous to begin?
That’s completely normal. Starting this kind of work takes courage. I’ll meet you with compassion, not judgment. You don’t need to have all the answers before you begin; you just need a willingness to take the next step.
